PK-5: So...What's All This About Breakout EDU?

The year is finally in full swing and it's quite possible you've heard a little bit or a LOT about Breakout EDU. Breakout EDU is a FUN, ENGAGING, EXCITING, LEARNING experience for your students and it is the perfect time to try it if you haven't already.  For those of you who don't quite know what Breakout EDU is... in a nutshell... it's a learning experience for your students where in they must work together to solve a series of puzzles to gather clues to unlock locks to open a box to free something... or someone.  (We are using our imaginations here.)

Imagine a scenario where an elf accidentally locked himself in a box and we have to solve the puzzles he left behind to gain clues to unlock the box.  The students MUST unlock the box to free the elf so he can get back to work at Santa's shop!

The beauty of Breakout EDU is that it's fun, but it's also a learning experience for your students.  You can find many free games at the Breakout EDU site.  However, you can also create your own scenarios, puzzles and clues to meet the needs of your students' learning and the curriculum or content area you would like to focus on.

Students can ALSO experience Breakout EDU virtually on the computer via a DIGITAL Breakout EDU.

Ok, you know that one is right up my alley! Looks like so much fun.

Again, there are quite a few FREE games available on the Breakout EDU site.  There are several holiday games.  There are also non-holiday games as well!  If you would like to try one, I have access to a box and locks you can borrow!  If you don't quite like the games you see on the site, but really want to try one before the holidays (or after), please let me know and I can sit and help you create one.  I can also sit and help you create a digital game via Google Sites.  (Don't get scared!  I promise it's not hard and I will help you EVERY step of the way!)

It's the perfect time of year to try something new and fun!  I would LOVE to help you!

  1. I would like to do something like this as an end of the year review. When would be a good time to meet with you to plan something like that?
